Juggling work, life and owning or walking a dog can be difficult at times. To make things a little easier why not use the K9 Caperz Dog Walking service.

Based in Maids Moreton, Buckingham we work in Buckingham and the surrounding areas and offer:

Dog walking with a collect and drop off service in custom fitted vans
Home visits to ensure your dog is happy and all their needs are being catered for whilst you are away

K9 Caperz is a fully insured business, DBS checked & holds dog first aid certificates. You can rest assured that your pride and joy is in good hands with the K9 Caperz dog walking team.

As well as your dog we look after your property:

We don't use sign written vans which are well known to advertise a vacant house
We are DBS checked so you can rest assured that you are not letting an unsafe person into your house
We carry dog washes in our vans to minimise muddy paws in your house

K9 Caperz is run by Sarah & Russ Melrose who between them have 30+ years experience of handling and training dogs of various breeds. We are a husband and wife team each using our individual skills and experience to offer a rounded service for you and your dogs.

Our Services

Different breeds have different needs and at K9 Caperz we cater for both large and smaller breeds.

Large dog group walks are run by Sarah. We use private land and have an engaging and energetic walk taking in fields and hedgerows (and muddy streams when it’s wet) allowing dogs to be dogs!

Smaller breed walks are run by Russ. We use predominantly pavements and pathways more appropriate for those with less ground clearance. For smaller dogs it can be intimidating or overwhelming to be surrounded by the big dogs and they are much happier on a walk tailored to them.

Dog Walking

Your dog will be walked with a group of dogs of similar size, temperament and needs
Walks are either 30 minutes or 1 hour
Individual Dog Walks can be arranged if required

Home Visits

Whilst you are away from home you can have peace of mind that you pet is safe and sound at home
A home visit usually takes approximately 30 minutes, when your pet can be let out to toilet and food and water can be replenished if required

Prices

Dog Walking (group) - 30 minutes = £12
Dog Walking (group) - 60 minutes = £14
(£25 for 2 dogs from the same household)
Dog Walking (individual) - 60 minutes = £25.00

Home Visit - 30 minutes = £12 (toilet, feed and water your pet as required)

About Sarah

Having come from a farming background, working dogs have always been a big part of my life.

My Mother, quite a legend in the obedience world, competes and judges all around the country and abroad, qualifying for Crufts on many occasions.

My father works his Sheepdogs on the farm and has competed at both the National and International Sheepdog Trials with great success.

At the age of twelve I trained and competed my first obedience dog, a very unenthusiastic Bedlington cross. The seed was sown. I soon progressed to competing a talented little Boarder Collie called Jen throughout the Midlands gaining many awards.

On leaving home I took up a job in kennels, this gave me a valuable understanding of a dogs social, physical and mental needs. How they react in different situations with their doggie piers and their human companions.

More recently I have studied as a veterinary nursing assistant but moving to Buckingham has given me a fresh opportunity to pursue my true passion.

About Russ

Having had a long, successful career in management I have moved from a job to a passion and have been walking dogs professionally since early 2025 when I joined Sarah at K9 Caperz.

I have always had dogs in the family and currently own, and work, a 7 year old Weimaraner called Purdey.

Purdey and I also enjoy dabbling in a bit of canicross and have tried our hand at agility.

At K9 Caperz I walk the smaller breeds mainly on pavements and pathways to help those with allergies and those who are simply too close to the ground for muddy fields or tall grass.
